Guangxi Innovation Driven Development Science and Technology Project “Research and Application Demonstration of Key Technologies for Preparation of Nano calcium Carbonate by Oxygen-enriched Method” Promotion Meetingwas Held in Yulin Normal University

Guangxi Innovation Driven Development Science and Technology Project “Research and Application Demonstration of Key Technologies for Preparation of Nano calcium Carbonate by Oxygen-enriched Method” Promotion Meeting was held inYulin Normal University on Nov. 17th, 2018. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhao Feng, Vice President of Yulin Normal University.

In September 2018, Hubei University, Hubei University Tianshu Institute,Yulin Normal University (Lead undertaking unit), Guangxi University, Yulin Xingye Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd. jointly declared the project “Research and Application Demonstration of Key Technologies for Preparation of Nano-calcium Carbonate by Oxygen-enriched Method”, which was successfully approved by the Third Batch of Guangxi Innovation and Development Special Fund (Science and Technology Major Project). The total investment of the project is 50 million yuan, with sponsoring amount of 10million yuan.

At the meeting, Mr. Wang Zhuohua, Presidentof Yulin Normal University, first stated that Yulin Normal University should support and coordinate the various work of the project implementation from many aspects, with a view to the successful completion of the project and the production of high quality results. It is necessary to strengthen the building of learning communities, such as teaching and research departments, professors, doctoral studios and teaching teams, and strengthen the building of research centers, research institutes, scientific research offices, and scientific research and innovation teams. Speed up the training and introduction of a number of active in the forefront of academic disciplines and high-level innovation team, improve the level of scientific research, promote the first-class cultivation of disciplines, to the first-class disciplines.

And then, Mr. Zhao Feng Vice President of Yulin Normal University read out the notice of the leading team on the establishment of the “Key Technology Research and Application Demonstration for Preparation of Nano calcium Carbonate by Oxygen-enriched Method”. The Leader of the team is Mr. Wang Zhuohua, President ofYulin Normal University. Mr. Zhao Feng, Vice President of Yulin Normal University, Mr. Tian Jian, Professor of Hubei University, Special Professor of Yulin Normal University(Executive Deputy Team Leader, Project Moderator) , Professor Tong Zhangfa, Director of Department of Development Planning, Guangxi University are the Deputy Leaders. The members of the team are heads of departments such as the Scientific Research Department, the Finance Office, the Logistics Infrastructure Branch, the State-owned assets Management Office, the Education Technology Center (Experimental equipment Center), the Audit Department, and other departments of Yulin Normal University. Mr. Pan Lin,General Manager of Yulin Xingye County Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd is also the team member.

President Wang Zhuohua said that the purpose of setting up the leading team is to promote the smooth development of the project and ensure that the project research task is completed on schedule. At the same time, President Wang also clarified the main responsibilities of the executive work leading team. He hoped that all members of theteam would make concerted efforts and that Yulin Normal University would join forces with Guangxi University and Hubei University to deepen cooperation between the institutions. The Calcium Carbonate Industry Development Institute of of Yulin normal University, Hubei University Tianshu Institute and the Guangxi Institute of Calcium Carbonate Industrialization Engineering should exert their engineering technical advantages.Yulin Xingye County Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd should take advantage of the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and all parties jointly promote the successful completion of this project.

Mr. Tian Jian, Special professor of Yulin Normal University, Dean of Tianshu Calcium Carbonate Industrial Development Research Institute, Doctoral Supervisor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hubei University, and the Dean of Hubei University Tianshu Industrial Research and Design Institute of New Energy Materials Industry,Professor Chang Gang, Professor Shang Xunzhong, Associate Professor Mei Tao, Dr. Zhu Yanchao, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hubei University, technical staffs and Professor Tian Jian’s students participated in the meeting.

Professor Tanaka hoped that members of the executive leadership team will further refine the project implementation details and key nodes while clarifying their respective responsibilities. With the support of the scientific research forces of universities in Hubei Province and Guangxi Autonomous region, the engineering and technical support of the design institute, the natural resources support of Xingye County,Yulin, and the production line of3 million tons/year of sand and stone aggregate production line,1 million tons/year of high active calcium oxide production line,100,000 tons/year of ultra-fine calcium carbonateproduction line, and the 100,000 tons/year of nano calcium carbonate production line of Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd, we should promote the industrialization transformation of the scientific and technological achievements of all kinds of new technologies, processes and equipment. The project would be an industrial demonstration production line with industry vane and international influence, and create a green development supply chain for the calcium carbonate industry.

At the meeting, other members of the executive team expressed their full support for the smooth implementation of the project.
