Mr. Wang Guipeng, the Inspector of Shandong Provincial Department ofLand & Resources, and his party visited Zaozhuang, Shangdong Province to promote the development of mines and the construction of green mines on May 23-24, 2018. They made a special trip to the 10,000 tons/d fine sand aggregate project site of Zaozhuang Zhongrun New Construction Materials Co., Ltd for an investigation. Mr. Liu Shenggen, Directorof Zaozhuang Land and Resources Bureau, Mr. Zhang Lingzhong, Deputy Director of Zaozhuang Land and Resources Bureau, other relevant leaders form districts and departments accompanied the investigation.
After field investigation, the investigation team gave a high evaluation of the industrial advanced mine extraction and processing integrated optimization design independently designed by Hubei University Tianshu Industrial Research and Design Institute of New Energy Materials, and stated that the fine sand aggregate production line created a “City + University+Enterprise” Chinese style green development model, they are looking forward that there would be a harmony and win-win situation between the high-quality development of the sand aggregate industry and the ecological environment protection.
Mr. Li Shiyong, President of Shandong Shunxing Cement Co., Ltd. and General Manager of Zaozhuang Zhongrun New Building Materials Co., Ltd, introduced that the project started in July 2017 and would be completed and put into production soon. After the completion of the project, all the stones and waste rocks in the mining area would be processed into fine sand aggregates. The limestone resources in the entire mining area will be fully utilized and generate greater economic and environmental benefits, and the production environment will be clean with leading indexes, achieving the goal of energy conservation, emission reduction, and low consumption and high efficiency.
The production line adopts the multi-stage crushing system, semi-finished and finished product screening and conveying system, multi-variety finished product storage system, unmanned centralized collection control system, full-range negative pressure control system and new sound insulation noise reduction structure, roof planting design, material application, and many other domestic advanced and mature technologies independently developed by Hubei University Tianshu IRDI. Making full use of the stones and waste rocks, with 100% utilization rate of original ore, good apparent roundness of various grades of aggregates and machined sand, I Class loose stacking porosity rate. After the project is put into production, it would be a modern green sand aggregate production line with highly integrated, automated and large-scale mining, processing, storage and transportation.

After listening to relevant reports and introductions, Mr. Wang Guipeng emphasized that the current domestic construction is highly dependent onsand aggregates, the rapid development of cities, and the update of old basic transportation facilities in the developed countries. This situation will not change in the short term, while the demand on sand aggregates will continuous increasing. So it is urgent to explore a new development model to solve the contradiction between sand aggregate production and ecological protection. The specifications for the construction of green mines in nine major industries, including thesand aggregates, formulated by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, will be released and implemented in the near future. In the future, all new and established sand and gravel aggregate mines will be constructed in strict accordance with the requirements of this specification, the same as the coal, metallurgy and nonferrous metals industries. At the same time, the registration system for sand aggregate products will be promoted, and enterprises will be encouraged and guided to choose green technologies and green products. The combination of Zaozhuang Zhongrun New Building Materials Co., Ltd. and Hubei University Tianshu IRDI has opened up a channel between traditional industries and green technologies, has played a very good demonstrating role in guiding green production and green consumption and it is worth adopting. Taking this demonstration line as an example, to establish an evaluation system for the green development of sand aggregate industry in Shandong province, carry out product identification for energy conservation and green sand production, and product certification of green production and green products, guide the transform of industry and enterprises from purchasing of scale and speed to pay more attention to quality and benefits.
