Prof. Tian Jianwas Invited to Visit Xingye County Government, Yulin, Guangxi
Mr. Yang Kaiyuan, Xingye county mayor, Yulin, Guangxi, met with Prof. Tian Jian, Doctoral supervisor, Dean of Hubei University Tianshu Industrial Research and Design Institute of New Energy Materials, and Prof. Akos Hutter in the county government meeting room on Nov. 7, 2017. Prof. Tian and Prof. Akos briefly reported the construction progress of the EPC project in Yulin Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd. And the energy conservation design scheme of office building and dormitory at project site, as well as the overall plan of calcium carbonate and new materials in Xingye county. Mr. Pan Lin, General Manager of Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd also participated in the meeting.
Hubei University Tianshu IRDI is the EPC contractor of the project - Annual Yield of 1 Million Tons of High Active Calcium Oxide. Meanwhile, we undertake the energy conservation design work of office building and dormitory (including the canteen) at project site. Construction Consultant of our institute, as well as the Leader of the Institute of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Pecs, Hungary. He is in charge of this construction design work. We had a detailed survey at the project site, investigated the project status and geographical environment, and gave a presentation of building energy conservation concept design to the employer.
Since Guangxi province has the unique geographical environment and subtropical monsoon climate in Yulin area, the average annual temperature is about 21℃, the average annual rainfall is 1650mm, and the annual sunshine time is about 1795 hours. Humid hot climate leads to longer summer, and higher frequency use of air conditioner with higher energy consumption. But there is little application of building energy conservation technology and materials whether for the local civil buildings or industrial buildings, which does not meet the new concept of modern building energy conservation design thoughts.
Building energy efficiency refers to the rational use of energy in production of building materials, and construction process of buildings. To reduce energy consumption as much as possible to meet the same needs or achieve the same purpose. The ways of building energy conservation mainly include: reducing the consumption of non renewable energy as much as possible, improving the use efficiency of energy, reducing the energy loss of building envelope and reducing the energy consumption of building facilities operation, etc.
Professor Akos has superb architectural expertise and advanced modern architectural design concept, he participated in Hungarian and Chinese architectural design for many times , and won a variety of domestic and foreign awards, such as 2015 Milan World Expo, First Prise for Design of Hungary National Museum, etc.
Building energy conservation technology is a important link related to the construction of low-carbon economy, the completion of energy-saving emission reduction targets and keep the sustainable development of economy in “13th Five-Year Plan”. The building energy conservation scheme designed by Prof. Akos, has been highly appraised and approved by Mr. Yang and the project owner - Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd. Mr. Yang, Xingye county mayor and Mr.Pan Lin, General Manager of Shuangcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd thanked Hubei University Tianshu IRDI, Prof. Tian and Prof. Akos. for their outstanding contribution to the building energy conservation design of office building and dormitory. The settle of building energy conservation project in Xingye county not only would provide a good demonstration and promotion effect, but also will lead the advanced the building energy conservation concept in Guangxi and even in the whole country.
The construction of “Annual yield of 1 million tons of active calcium oxide project” is entering in a raging fire stage. Mr. Yang also graciously asked if there is any problem in the process of project construction, Xingyel county government will make every effort to help coordinate the common solution. Mr. Pan Lin and Prof. Tian thanked the supports from Mr. Yang and other county officials. We would promote the project to meet the production standards as soon as possible, and make greater contribution to the county social and economic development.
