Successfully Declared the Key Project of 2015 Annual Scientific and Technological Innovation Program of Hubei Province
Recently, Hubei University Tianshu IRDI and the Gezhouba Laohekou Cement Co., Ltd joint declared Key Project of 2015 Annual Scientific and Technological Innovation Program of Hubei Province - “Key Technology of Green Ecological Industrial Solid Waste and Cement Common Integrated Grinding System”, and it has successfully subsidized 2 million yuan (RMB) by the Hubei Province Science and Technology Department. This is a breakthrough in “Efficient Comprehensive Disposal and Deep Utilization of Copper Tailings”, which is one project of 2014 Annual Scientific and Technological Innovation Program of Hubei Province. At present, Tianshu IRDI has undertaken many major science and technology projects of Hubei Province and Wuhan.
Industrial solid waste (referred to as ISW) can be green ecological harmless disposed and converted to renewable resource by our technology, and then be used in cement industry. Through the research on the key technology of industrial solid waste and cement common integrated grinding process, to effective extracte valuable metals in mineral slag, steel slag, furnace slag, fly ash and other industrial solid waste, to achieve high value-added deep utilization, as well as harmless and clean disposal. To build advanced technology and equipment integrated system for consumption of industrial solid wastes in cement industry, promote technological progress and innovation of the industry, and achieve clean production, saving development. This is of great importance to promote the provincial resources and environmental protection progress.
1) To consume bulk industrial solid waste, protecte land resources, reduce environmental pollution caused by iron and steel, and thermal power enterprises.
At present, through the eliminating of backward production capacity, and promoting of annexation and reorganization of enterprises, the number of iron and steel enterprises in our province have integrated by 116 into the current 27, with an annual yield of 28.0665 million tons of crude steel, 24.0714 million tons of pig iron, 11.833 million tons steel slag and mineral slag. 16 thermal power stations are in planning and coordination in Hubei Province, including 14 public owned power stations and 2 stand-by power stations, with total power supply of 74.45 billion kWh, total consumption of 27.282 million tons of standard coal (0.7143 tons of standard coal produce 0.3 tons of fly ash), production of 11.458 million tons of coal ash. The total annual production of steel slag, mineral slag and fly ash in these two industries is 23.291 million tons, which needs nearly 2000 acres of farmland to be occupied for accumulation.
The green ecological industrial solid waste and cement common integrated grinding production demonstration line not only can realize zero emission of industrial waste, less occupation of farmland and less pollution of the environment for the steel and thermal power enterprises, but also increase the enterprise efficiency. The products with low cost and market competitiveness owning to enough raw materials. In addition, it can also become a new economic growth point of the enterprise, with annual sales revenue increasing 4.192 billion yuan (the valuation of industrial waste is 180 yuan / ton).
2) The green ecological disposal of industrial solid waste can be used as high activity supplementary cementitious materials, reduce the dosage of cement in cement clinker and concrete, saving the limestone mineral resources and coal resources, reduce cement consumption and emission of CO2.
Cement and concrete are high energy consumption and high resource consumption industries. Cement and concrete enterprises must find new economic growth point to promote the adjustment of industrial structure and the implementation of transformation and upgrading in our province. Therefore, in the premise of cement enterprises without new projects, they can produce various varieties of cement and industrial solid waste micro powder by our technology. So that the land resources, human resources and financial resources can achieve the multiplier effect for enterprises. They can produce different products according to the combination of the changing market demands and development demands of enterprises in the new economic situation, which would greatly promote the upgrading of industrial structure and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.
Based on original traditional ingredients, instead of 30% cement powder dosage, the annual savings of clinker is 17.1 million tons, and 1.88 million tons of standard coal, reduce cement manufacturing costs by 2.2 billion yuan (RMB), reduce emissions of CO2 by 17 million tons. If we use slag powder, fly ash, steel slag powder and other composite powder instead of more than 20% Portland cement, it can greatly promote the development of green ecological cement and concrete.
The implementation of “Green Ecological Disposal and Deep Utilization of Industrial Solid Waste” project can promote the development of related industries in our province, alleviate the shortage of fossil energy especially coal resource, reduce land resources occupancy and harm to the surrounding environment caused by industrial waste, achieve efficient use of high value-added renewable resources, accelerate the adjustment of industrial structure and transformation and upgrading of related industries, promote symbiosis among enterprises and industries, play an exemplary role in cultivating and creating high-tech green industry chain.
