Successful Conclusion of Master's Thesis Defense Conference for 2017 Session in Prof. Tian’s Team
The master's thesis defense conference for 2017 session in Prof. Tian’s Team was successfully held in the conference room at 9:00~11:30 a.m. on May. 21, 2017. The board chairman of this thesis defense conference is Prof. Ma Baoguo from Wuhan University of Technology, and the reviewers are Prof. Zhang Tianjin, Shang Xunzhong, Chang Gang and Associate Prof. Huang Shaolong, Zheng Keyu, and Xia Xiaohong from Hubei University, lecturer Zhu Yanchao served as the defense secretary.
There are total 5 graduate students in in Prof. Tian’s Team, they are Pan Huangyu, Ye Bin, Zhou Yu, Huang Hongqi, and Yue Guangyong. To improve the quality of the graduate thesis, previously, under the principle of "strict, fair and open", Prof. Tian had carefully guided the students, repeated modifying and weighing to make students graduation thesis quality be continuously improved.
The thesis defense started at 9 o’clock in the morning. In response to the questions posed by the experts, the students answered the questions accurately and thoroughly with quick witted and clear thinking. The experts examined the graduate proficiency in professional knowledge with serious and rigorous attitude, made penetrating explanations to the students, pointing out the flash and shortage of the thesis and put forward valuable suggestions.
It is an important link for personnel training of the graduates to write and answer the thesis. It is also an effective way to test the students' comprehensive quality and practical innovation ability. The thesis defense of the graduates fully inspected the work of the students' graduation thesis, inspected the students' mastery of the basic theories and research methods, as well as the independent practice and comprehensive analysis ability of the students. It provides a good foundation for graduates to sum up graduate study and increase the success rate of employment.
